About

We believe the next big leap in
AI isn't more intelligence
—it's better participation.

Conversation is where decisions get made, trust is built, and teams align. But most AI still lives behind "prompt and response." JoinIn.ai is built to close that gap: AI that can join the room, respect the flow of real talk, and support humans in the moment.

Founders

Ted Johnson

Ted Johnson

Co-founder

Ted is a technologist with a master's degree in Computer Science, where he focused on human–computer interaction and the ways people collaborate with intelligent systems. He has spent his career building production-grade software across multiple domains, bringing a thoughtful, research-informed perspective to real-world product development.

At JoinIn.ai, Ted leads technical direction and system architecture, translating breakthroughs in LLMs and conversational AI into practical, reliable capabilities for teams. He combines deep technical experience with an enthusiasm for emerging AI that keeps the team grounded — and occasionally reminds everyone that the Singularity is probably closer than we think.

Brendan Foote

Brendan Foote

Co-founder

Brendan Foote is a software engineering leader turned founder with more than twenty years of experience building large-scale systems in financial services. He holds a Master's in Software Engineering and previously led engineering teams delivering digital platforms and developing an AI prototype for training financial advisors.

A long-time student of entrepreneurship and product design, Brendan is applying years of self-directed study — from The Personal MBA to countless Paul Graham essays — toward building AI that feels less like a tool and more like a teammate. At JoinIn.ai, he focuses on product vision, execution, and the belief that meetings can become dramatically more collaborative when AI participates as an equal.

Creating something entirely new

JoinIn.ai makes AI a natural participant in live conversations. Instead of treating conversation as a transcript, JoinIn understands it as it happens — tracking turn-taking, interruptions, roles, and shared context in real time. The result is AI that knows when to speak, how to engage, and when to stay quiet — creating smoother meetings, clearer outcomes, and genuinely helpful in-the-moment support. JoinIn plugs into the tools people already use and works anywhere group conversations happen — starting with meetings, and expanding far beyond.
Why this matters
Work happens in live conversation. Decisions aren't made in documents — they emerge through overlapping talk, clarifications, side comments, and moments of alignment. JoinIn is built to understand those moments as they unfold.
What we're building
Conversation-native AI. A real-time interaction layer that understands turn-taking, interruption repair, roles, and intent — so AI can listen, signal, message, or speak at the right moment without disrupting the flow.
How to get involved
Help define the category. Early access gives you a direct hand in shaping how AI shows up in meetings — from interaction patterns to integrations — especially if conversations are central to how you work.
