About
We believe the next big leap in
AI isn't more intelligence
—it's better participation.
Conversation is where decisions get made, trust is built, and teams align. But most AI still lives behind "prompt and response." JoinIn.ai is built to close that gap: AI that can join the room, respect the flow of real talk, and support humans in the moment.

Founders

Ted Johnson
Ted is a technologist with a master's degree in Computer Science, where he focused on human–computer interaction and the ways people collaborate with intelligent systems. He has spent his career building production-grade software across multiple domains, bringing a thoughtful, research-informed perspective to real-world product development.
At JoinIn.ai, Ted leads technical direction and system architecture, translating breakthroughs in LLMs and conversational AI into practical, reliable capabilities for teams. He combines deep technical experience with an enthusiasm for emerging AI that keeps the team grounded — and occasionally reminds everyone that the Singularity is probably closer than we think.

Brendan Foote
Brendan Foote is a software engineering leader turned founder with more than twenty years of experience building large-scale systems in financial services. He holds a Master's in Software Engineering and previously led engineering teams delivering digital platforms and developing an AI prototype for training financial advisors.
A long-time student of entrepreneurship and product design, Brendan is applying years of self-directed study — from The Personal MBA to countless Paul Graham essays — toward building AI that feels less like a tool and more like a teammate. At JoinIn.ai, he focuses on product vision, execution, and the belief that meetings can become dramatically more collaborative when AI participates as an equal.
Research & Advisors (In Formation)
JoinIn.ai is built at the intersection of computer science, human–computer interaction, linguistics, and social psychology.
Conversation is not simply text. It is structured turn-taking, grounding, interruption repair, intent modeling, and shared attention. Research in conversational structure shows that dialogue is a coordinated joint activity governed by subtle rules of timing and understanding.
At the same time, recent benchmarks demonstrate that even advanced multimodal language models struggle with speaker attribution and multi-party reasoning.
JoinIn.ai exists to close that gap.
We are actively building relationships with:
- Researchers in multi-party conversational AI
- Experts in speaker modeling and audio processing
- Scholars in discourse and dialogue structure
- Advisors experienced in enterprise AI deployment
As we grow, we are expanding our advisory circle to include specialists in real-time systems, multimodal modeling, and human-centered AI design.
We believe this category requires more than prompt engineering. It demands a cross-disciplinary foundation — and our advisory network will reflect that. Contact us to learn more.
Expanding the Team
JoinIn.ai was founded by technologists with decades of experience building production-grade enterprise systems.
We are now selectively expanding our team across:
- Real-time conversational systems
- Applied machine learning
- Audio and multimodal AI
- Enterprise integrations and security
- Product and experience design
Our approach is deliberate. We are building a focused, high-caliber team aligned around one goal: enabling AI to participate naturally inside human group conversations.
If you are excited about defining a new category of conversation-native AI, we’d love to connect.
